Twilight...

After the Harry Potter series, I wondered if there was a series that would grip me so strong. I spent the last few years reading Harry Potter (HP) so many times over and over again and I loved each one of it for the heights of imagination that it would take me to. Now I am blinded once again by the “Twilight” Series.

book

When I got the space to sit back and enjoy the first book and it was definitely “Love at first read.” The author Stephenie Meyer has hit the right cords as the series has the correct blend of romance and suspense. It shakes the gory images of vampires and makes you want to fall in love with one desperately!!

The romance in the book is very heartwarming, one that goes through all turmoils, confusions and its own innocent highs. The suspense is very plot oriented and the book is hard to put down. (Thank God I had the weekend to finish it). I read all the books over 2 weeks and watched part 1 and 2 in the movie hall. now looking forward to the next release in June!

Happy Potter Week!!!

Well for anyone who has been wondering what happened to me....I'm back!! The last week has been two opposites bad and great...For all those who wished me well a big "Thank You" from the depths of my heart...

So let me start with the bad part. I spend the weekend in the hospital, blood tests, injections...everything possible!! I freaked out as no one could tell me what was wrong with me. To make things worse the attack I had on Tuesday occurred again on Friday early morning. The previous time I did not tell my parents, now I had to. Narrowed down into a blood infection. Now on antibiotics...Wonder what'll happen after the course....

And for now the great news...I have been reading the last and grand finale book of Harry Potter and just finished it. I thought I'll immediately post something because I am just not able to constrict the feeling withing myself. I am feeling out of the world. I was absolutely in a shell during the last 4 days, reading slowly and resisting the urge of going to the last to know what happens.

J.K Rowling rocks! She and Harry have matured beyond words. The book is excellent and beyond comparision. When you thought you have understood and set expectations in your mind about the characters and the author, she defies all...The climax is just too good! All the pieces fall in place...Some pieces that were left unexplained since the first book is finally answered...Some even which I had forgotten surfaced back!!

I am happy I read the book but the feeling that this was the last book lingers. I am sad there is no more...The sense of belonging I had with the book, with the characters who kept me company on many lonely, unpurposeful days... a sense of missing something engulfs me so much. I started reading this book way back in 2002 and now I miss all the moments i spent with the book.

Anyways...all good things must come to an end...I bet this will not stop me from re-reading the book again at those loneful moments. To top it all I watched the movie too. The movie is really good. Difficult to put so many details in a 2 hour movie but a job well done....

Sigh....I miss you Harry....

Harry Potter and me!

Thought of writing about one of my greatest crazes....The only boy wonder.I’m a total Harry Potter freak. I've just read all the books over and over again. Managed to even get a few of my friends hooked on to it as well. So some part of the Harry Potter revenue belongs to me!!!
The very first time when I started reading through the first book,I realized that I just couldn’t stop. It was as if I had entered a magical world where I was reading a book and I simply can’t stop reading(Was that a part of magic!!!).I am 25 years old but the child within me forced to read on!
It’s imaginative, well written, it’s just cool and makes fun reading. A truly modern novel that can be appreciated by all-men, women and children of all ages. The series traces the emergence of a new kind of hero from rather humble circumstances.
Diagon Alley, Hogwarts Express, Platform 9 3/4 ,Quidditch and so much creative magic! The words and the narrative are excellent and cast a spell on me. As the magical adventure unfolded I found myself thinking about it all the time and still do!
So for everyone who has enjoyed all those Enid Blytons in their childhood times....this is worth a check out!!

One night @ the call center

Just read Chetan Bagath’s “One Night at the Call center”. It’s a pretty ok-ok kind of a book. True it is one of the kind where a writer has taken the pain to understand the traumas faced by these call center employees. He has made an effort to understand how a normal night at work place could be. Yeah some of the instances were real life like- the cab driver and guys sharing the cigarette, the smoking lot, the breaks, the coffee through the night, characters….pretty fine!!!
Even though I was impressed by it at the first read when I really got to thinking about it, it kind of left me blank and without an opinion. Was this another Bollywood masala in the making?? Another one filled with romance, tragedy, comedy, life, sob stories… Pretty much the same content, right and to top it all the happy ending too that really doesn’t work guys!!!
It is a book too casual to read. BPO life is very hard as people has to work at night shifts, but I think the author wrote a book for the mass & not just for the BPO employees. It actually portrays the brighter part of the story I should say. Life as I have seen working these night shifts could get even worse.
It gives you the hope that there is a way out but in 99% cases that go before my eyes I find that there is no escape. People here are stuck due to reasons so many. Some educational qualifications, some family problems, financial constraints…the list goes on.
Anyways it’s worth a read. Simple English, the story keeps going…Check it out!!
